A Message from Dr. Valen: Dr. Blanken and I have been personally affected by wildfires, both present and past. My family lost their home in the Woolsey Fire and we have loved ones who have recently lost homes, neighborhoods, and important community supports during the course of the Palisades & Eaton fires. We are intimately acquainted with the long road of devastation and grief that comes with such profound loss and we know how crucial good support is—both in the short- and long-term—to helping healing and recovery. Dr. Blanken and I are committed to helping to support those affected by wildfires and are offering short-term pro bono therapy services to wildfire victims and first-responders in addition to our regular therapy services and PTSD/trauma treatments — please reach out to get connected with care.
